Alex Syberia Designs-My Favorite Flowers

Hi crafty friends!

Thank you for joining me today, you can also find me over on the Alex Syberia Designs blog for a second time this month!

It’s been a busy one and as I said on my last post, my Copic markers have been having a really good workout!

Today, I will be focusing on one project (well, two actually but with the same digital stamp) but you will be able to see every project I make over on my Instagram @cherylespiecreates.

I wanted to put the spotlight on the gorgeous digital image by Alex Syberia Designs called My Favorite Flowers.

Last Monday on my Instagram, I shared a unique Gift Tag Card with a matching tag using the same stamp but coloured with teals.

The two card projects I am focusing on today have a soft color palette of greens, peaches & beiges.

After printing the My Favorite Flowers digital image on Neenah Solar White 80lb cardstock, I attached the cardstock to my Scan & Cut mat ready to put in the machine. The Scan & Cut machine does exactly as it’s name. It scans the images, then cuts them out. One tip…I do not color my images until after the machine has cut them out. This is because I have found that the Scan & Cut appears to cut out the images better when there is just the black outline.

For both card projects, I used Copic markers:

R01 & R02, G21 & G40, E71 & E74......scroll the slideshow above to see the colour process.

You will see by my staged photos how I applied the markers starting with the lightest colors first.

The Alex Syberia image cleverly shows areas where you can add different colors to enhance the look and the light of the floral.

With both projects, I wanted to add further color and dimension. I achieved this by placing the coloured My Favorite Flowers die cuts on top of some patterned paper from my stash. On one of the cards, I even dry embossed the patterned paper!

Gold goes really well with the warm hues chosen so I added some gold ribbon as well as gold bling.

Finish with a complimentary sentiment and these beauties are ready to go!

I had not used a lot of digital stamps until recently and it certainly has opened a creative door for me. Alex Syberia Designs have an array of genres and they are so economical. Also, you don’t need lots of storage room!

I hope I have inspired you today with the beautiful My Favorite Flowers Digital Stamp by Alex Syberia Designs.

Remember….you can find more inspiration throughout the month of July, so make sure you follow @alexsyberiadesigns and @cherylespiecreates
