Altenew Craft-A-Flower: Butterfly Bush Release Blog Hop + Giveaway (Total of $200 prizes)
Hi crafty friends!
You may have found yourself here from the very talented Jenny Colacicco
I love the Craft-A-Flower series by Altenew. Truly! I enjoy creating with die cuts as I like dimension and die cutting makes dimension fun. This month's CAF release is the Butterfly Bush, and its a beauty!
The Butterfly Bush, also known as Summer Lilac is a fast growing , perennial shrub with masses of flowers-long spike trusses-that bloom from summer to Autumn. While low maintenance, butterfly bushes do need to be pruned in early spring. They enjoy full sun.
$200 in total prizes! To celebrate this release, Altenew is giving away a $50 gift certificate to 2 lucky winners and a $20 gift certificate to 5 winners! Please leave a comment on the Altenew Card Blog and/or each designer’s blog post on the blog hop by 05/13/2022 for a chance to win. Altenew will draw 7 random winners from the comments left on each stop of this blog hop and announce the winners on the Altenew Winners Page on 05/15/2022.
Let's Look at My Design
When I create something with a brand new stamp and/or die set, I don't immediately go for the colours shown on the illustration. Not sure why...? This month though, For this beautiful Butterfly Bush, I chose purple/lilac hues as advertised. I just loved the colours so much with this floral that I resisted the change :)
I layered up two of the Butterfly Bush sets, the back one being lighter in colour, to help compliment the darker version at the front. Where are the green leaves I hear you ask...nowhere! Haha, I went with pink and grey as these colours also compliment the purple hues.
Sympathy/support cards can be a challenge to get just right. Florals are a natural go to for me and I felt there was something serene about this Craft-A-Flower Die which is why I added the sentiment 'Praying For You'.
I am really looking froward to seeing what colours the other designers have done, so I will be hopping along with you guys to find out!
