  • Hope Your Day Is EXTRA Special

Hi crafty friends! I am back over on the Pinkfresh Studio card blog today to share with you a pretty card using one of Pinkfresh Studio’s beautiful papers out of their new Lovely Blooms 6 x 6 paper pads. I love PFS papers and ephemera, they are clean, modern, fantastic quality and, I love the colour combos. If you ever get stuck on colour combos, pull out one of their paper pads! For my card, I was drawn to the gold arches and the pale pinky/lilac colour tones on one of the papers. It matched well with the lilac florals from the newly released Garden Bouquet Washi Tape. With the paper, I decided to just add a little bit of ink blending around the edges. Then, I gave it a bit of gold splatter to bring out the gold in the arches. I also attached the paper to some cardstock backing just to give it some firmness. After allowing the splatter to dry, I added the smaller lilac florals from the Garden Bouquet Washi Tape being sure to follow the line of the arches. Using foam squares allowed for some lovely dimension here. Another cool product that Pinkfresh Studio release are ready made sentiment packs. So, I decided to use the Hope Your Day is Extra Special from the Foiled Sentiments 6 pack. One thing I always do with these sentiments is mat it on thick cardstcock as I don’t do floppy! Hahaha. I need to fussy cut, but that’s okay as it’s worth it for me. The faithful Small Butterflies came in useful here. I heat embossed them in white on vellum and added two of them on my card design as I felt it needed something extra. To finish, I added the Gold Metallic Pearls on the butterflies and around the background. I love how this card turned out, super pretty and with a little dimension. Guess what? I also made a reel to share with you all showing how my design came together. So keep an eye out over on the @pinkfreshstudio Instagram account. Until next time friends..

  • Hello Love

Hello crafty friends, I am over on the Pinkfresh Studio card blog today sharing this beauty. For my card design I wanted to do a blending technique but wanted to demonstrate that you can ink blending any colours you wish, and stamp over the top to get amazing results! I chose a soft palette for my base colours using Pinkfresh Studio's Peach Fuzz, Coral Reef and Aquamarine. It really is just a case of randomly having a piece of quality cover white cardstock and then blend randomly between the colours chosen. If it looks a bit patchy, do not worry as the Pinkfresh Studio ink settles into the cardstock and smooths out. When you have finished ink blending, make sure all the ink is dry. For this to look really effective behind a stamp you want to choose a stamp that has some detail to it. For my card I chose the beautiful Floral Border that was released in December 2022. It has larger and smaller flowers which would bring out all the different colour tones behind it. When the ink blending is fully dry, I used Pinkfresh Studio's Detail Black Ink and clear embossing powder to stamp on top of the blended cardstock. Then, heat dried it. When done, I used the co-ordinating die to cut it out. It looked fabulous even if I do say so myself! I decided on bringing out the Coral Reef colour for my background and die cut some co-ordinating cardstock using the ever faithful, Sparkling Diamonds Stand Alone Cut. That wonderful long sentiment is from the Charming Floral Border Stamp set which I heat embossed on some of the left over ink blended cardstock. To finish, I added the cute die cut Hello and some Pinkfresh Studio Iridescent Drops. I did try some of the coloured glitter drops, but they just didn't seems to work. In these cases I find the Iridescent Drops are perfect! As always with my blog posts, I have a reel that will get shared over on the Pinkfresh Studio Instagram account, so keep and eye out for that. Until next time friends....

  • Alex Syberia Designs | Chrysanthemum Love

Hi ASD friends I am over on the Alex Syberia Designs blog today sharing a card with a matching gift tag that I designed using some new products released this month by Alex Syberia Designs. Did you see the beautiful Chrysanthemum Stamp Set? Whoa! It's a beauty! I know some crafters get a bit intimidated by layering stamps because of lining up the stamps. I have stamped many layering stamps and some very complicated ones and yes, it is intimidating. In my opinion, I don't want something that brings me joy become too challenging. Well, friends, be assured this layering stamp is one of the easiest layering stamps I have used, and it gives dramatic results. By using my MISTI, I lined up my first stamp and then stamped three base layers. As the stamps lines up easily, I then just followed the layers. I used a gradient of light to dark blues/teals for the Chrysanthemum flowers. I die cut the Meadow Magic Cover Die then cut it down to size. I positioned my Chrysanthemums leaving the right bottom corner for my With Love Sentiment. Of course I had a Chrysanthemum left purposefully for a gift tag. I die cut the brand new and definitely new staple in my stash, Signature Tags Die Set. This set has fun elements to give you lots of options. I die cut another panel using the Meadow Magic Cover Die. I then die cut two tags, one from the Meadow Magic and one plain. Using one of the elements from the Tag Set, I die cut the front and added champagne gold cardstock at the back before adding the extra plain tag die cut. This is nice as it tidies up the back of the tag and gives a clean surface to write a greeting to and from. The champagne cardstock brings both the card and the tag together, and then finished with gold ribbon. Well friends, I hope you feel inspired?! Until next time....

  • Wedding Wishes

Hi Pinkfresh Studio friends I am over on the Pinkfresh Studio Card Blog today sharing this beauty Weddings start popping up now spring and summer are upon us so, I thought you would appreciate some wedding card inspiration. I have called this design Wedding Wishes. Have you seen our Gazebo Die? Well, the outline of the die reminds me of a church or a mosque. Therefore, I thought I could make myself a die cut stencil from the outline. Using the outline, I ink blending all the Pinkfresh Studio greys to form the shape using the stencil, Misty Coast, Rocky Slope and Metropolis. This became the centrepiece of my card. Reviewing all the beautiful florals that Pinkfresh Studio do so well, I was spoiled for choice on which floral stamps to use. In the end, I opted for Artistic Dahlias illustrated by Emily Midgett from March's release. I like the curved shape which is really what I was looking for. With the Artistic Dahlia Co-ordinating Stencils, I added the colours Ballet Slipper, Sparkling Rose, Fresh Pear and Olive using the oh so pretty Pinkfresh Studio Blending Brushes! After placing the die cut florals on an angle, I then place a curved banner from the Basic Banner-Celebrate set that was released in April. Then, time for the bling. The top of the gazebo looked a bit bare and just called out 'give me bling!" The Blush Glitter Drops were perfect! To finish, I pulled out my faithful Small Butterflies by Pinkfresh Studio that were release some time ago and I stamped and heat embossed them with white embossing powder on vellum. Add some Silver Metallic Pearls on them and this card was finished. Well, I did add some white gel pen accents because I just couldn't help myself! As always, I have made a reel for this blog post so keep an eye out for it on Instagram @pinkfreshstudio I hope you feel inspired to make your own wedding day card now? Until next time PFS friends....

  • Alex Syberia Designs | Sending Love

Hi crafty friends! I am up on the Alex Syberia Designs blog today featuring a card I designed using the beautiful stamp set called Happy Blooms. I love this set! I think I love it because of the unique lines through the images. This type of stamp set is pretty cool to use just in black and white. Though, I decided to colour mine. There's quite a few products used on this card. In thee background you will see the Fancy Cover Die. I then added a die cut panel and stamped the groups of dots from the Happy Blooms stamp set in light grey, just to give the white panel some interest. After stamping the floral images, I coloured them with my Copics. The easiest colouring ever because the Happy Bloomsstamp set has all the interest done for you. The colours I used were BG 13, BG18, Y26 & Y28. I stamped the floral images on the card panel but, I then die cut the the centre florals and raised just those. This really gave a cool added dimension. Let's talk sentiments! I used rainbow foil with the Sending Love from the For Her Sentiments Hot Foil Plate. It was this that enabled me to choose what colours I wanted the florals to be. Did you notice how similar they are? Underneath I then added that lovely sentiment strip from the Expressing Gratitude stamp set. To finish, I added a bit of bling. Not too much but decided on picking up the teal just to accent the design. I have to say, that I think the teal and gold effect of the Copics really made the Happy Blooms set pop on that white backdrop. Whatever you are doing today friends I hope it brings you some joy. Until next time....

There's some amazing inspiration from both design teams along the hop so make sure you follow along for inspiration as well as a chance to win.. My Design For my design I really thought the Nested Scalloped Frames Die Set by Alex Syberia Designs had multiple uses apart from just framing including, clouds or waves! As I had the Sealy Friends from Heffy Doodle, waves was the obvious choice. After ink blending blue hues over my die cut wave pieces, I splattered them with white. I coloured the adorable seals with my Copic markers C2, C4 & C7. I fussy cut the seals and then tucked them behind the waves. I framed the whole design and then added the sentiments. The HUGS is the Foxtrot Alphabet by Alex Syberia Designs which I die cut in gold cardstock to help it pop from the background. • Birthday Happiness

Good morning Pinkfresh Studio friends, Today I am sharing a card that I have called Birthday Happiness because it has such bold and happy colours that just pop! Did you see this gorgeous Pretty Blossoms Stamp from this month's release? It has co-ordinating hot foil plate and stencils that are perfect to set these florals up in any colour combinations you choose. I decided on bold, which is not always my default as I like pretty and soft but sometimes you just have to move out of your comfort zone. For my design, I decided on Apricot, Persimmon, Olive and Evergreen. The Pretty Blossoms Layering Stencils easily line up to make the ink blending process really easy. Make sure you check out my reel as it demonstrates the ink blending come to life! One of the things I love about Pinkfresh Studio is their attention to detail. The co-ordinating Pretty Blossoms Die cuts so much details around the florals which is fabulous. Of course, I just had to pop the florals up on foam dots. Do you see the extra accents? Well, I die cut the one of the Rosettes dies and an element from the Wrap Around Elements Die Set in gold cardstock to match the hot foil. To finish, I dotted some glorious Butterscotch Glitter Drops which coordinated perfectly and added a sentiment from the Foiled Sentiments 6. Keep an eye out on Instagram for my reel demonstrating how this card came together. Until next time friends...

The Magic is in You Hot Foil The card I am sharing with you today showcases The Magic is in You Hot Foil Plate. What's nice about this plate is that it also comes with an outline die so you can cut perfectly around the sentiment. I really wanted this sentiment to be the focal point of my card but it needed some background design to ground it. Using a stencil that I had a circle cut into it from one of Pinkfresh Studio's previous releases, I ink blended a background using Aquamarine and Tidal Pond. I splattered it with gold before I peeled away the stencil to compliment the sentiment hot foil. Also in this release, is the Delicate Foliage Hot Foil Plate. I foiled this in gold on vellum and die cut it. I also used scissors to cut away some of the leaves so it would fit well on my card panel. After placing the Delicate Foliage over the ink blended circle, I added The Magic is in You hot foiled sentiment. To finish, The Aqua Glitter Drops were the perfect match to the ink blending which made me sooooo happy! Remember to join the blog hop and you will find all the links below, so why not go have some fun, get lots of inspiration and have a chance to win a prize?! Until next time friends....

  • Alex Syberia Designs | Birdie Hugs

Hi crafty friends! I am over on the Alex Syberia Designs blog today sharing a cute card that will hopefully make you smile! Have you seen the gorgeous Pureland Fan Stencil that was in Alex Syberia Designs last release? If you haven't, you should check it out! It's a great stencil for backgrounds. For my card today I used a mint green cardstock and then used darker shades of green dye ink with the Pureland Fan Stencil. This gave the leafy effect for these little birdies. These birds are from the super popular Paradise Birds Stamp Set by Alex Syberia Designs. It's such a fun set! I stamped and coloured these guys with my Copic markers, super easy colouring. As I wanted to use the Hugs Die by ASD, I decided to use a heart die as a window to that leafy background. Using different angles on the design adds interest, so I cut extra hearts out to add to that large centrepiece. To finish, I die cut the Hugs Die in black and white which allowed it to pop out from the busy leafy background. So fun don't you think?! Whatever you are doing today, I hope you get to smile :)

Hi crafty friends I was so thrilled to be asked by Gina to join her monthly guest designers group. She was enjoying my florals and I was pretty flattered that the lady who is iconic in this business even noticed my designs. My first guest month was this month and I received the stamp and matching die set, Sweet Memories. I designed two cards with the set. Above, I used Copic markers B34 & B37 for the blues. Make sure you check out my Instagram to watch it. I used Copic markers RV91, RV95 & RV69 for the petals. For the leaves I used G43 & G85. Well friends, hope you feel inspired?!
