My Design- Cherry Blossoms and Stippled Plaid Press Plate How pretty are these beautiful Cherry Blossoms? So delicate and perfect. I just couldn't resist die cutting them after I had ink blended them in Cherry Blossom ink by Pinkfresh Studio. For the leaves I used Fresh Pear and Eucalyptus. When I saw the Stippled Plaid Press Plate, I immediately thought of the Cherry Blossom climbing up a trellis. Therefore, I partially inked up the press plate and it left the fab imprint that fades towards the top. I finished by adding that wonderful sentiment from the brand new Happy Vibes Sentiments also from this months release. Well, I hope I have inspired you today friends, but I also hope I have got you in the mood to hop.... • Beautiful Butterflies

Hi crafty friends I have had my eye on these Butterflies by Pinkfresh Studio for soooooo long. I loved them so much I purchased the whole suite-Stamp set, die, stencils and hot foil! To me, the elegance and beauty of this set sums up everything Pinkfresh Studio. I decided to make a set of cards as I really wanted to show off some different colour combinations. I began by hot foiling three sets in champagne coloured foil. This is a safe colour for most combinations. Then, pulling out my Pinkfresh Studio Dye Inks I blended the foiled images using the coordinating Butterflies Stencils. Part of the wings overlap so, I wanted inks that would blend well and make another colour effectively. 1. Ink Colours: Slumber/Sapphire/Passion Fruit/Berrylicious 2. Ink Colours: Summer Shower/Storm/Sunkissed/Marigold 3. Ink Colours: Ocean Breeze/Mermaid Cove/Limoncello/Bay Leaf I die cut each large butterfly out then, die cut part of the butterfly from an A2 white cardstock panel. With foam tape, I attached each butterfly over the panel and card base, ensuring the left wing hung over the edge. This really helped it pop and give a suspended look. Like a butterfly in flight so to speak. To finish I added a reversed hot foil sentiment from the Wonderful Sentiments Hot Foil set also by Pinkfresh Studio. I added some Metallic Silver Pearls to two cards but Aqua Glitter Drops on my centre card as I couldn't resist how well they matched! Hope you love these cards as much as I do?! Of course, I made a reel that you can check out over on Instagram @pinkfreshstudio as its really shows off how these cards came together. You can also check my Instagram out for lots more inspiration and reels @cherylespiecreates Until next time friends....

  • A2 Slider Card & Matching Tag

Good morning Pinkfresh Studio friends I am over on the Pinkfresh Studio blog today sharing these beauties. Last month, Pinkfresh Studio released their first ever interactive die the A2 Slider Die. It was also a phenomenal release with so many beautiful washi tapes. Today, on the PFS blog I am sharing an A2 slider card using the die along with the beautiful Artistic Dahlias Washi Tape. I am so impressed by the beauty, quality AND value for money the Pinkfresh Studio Washi tapes can be. They make creating a project such breeze. To confess, I don't make many interactive cards, but having a die that does most of the work me is wonderful and pretty it's nice to make something different. There are three pieces to the A2 Slider Die. One piece being the insert that slides in and out. This insert can also be cut twice to make a coordinating tag...cool eh? (eh! is a common phrase used in Canada which I have picked up since living here). I kept the sharp crisp edges of the die as is. But, I had this idea that you could use a corner chomper to make the corners rounded? Just a thought... There are some dotted lines when die cut that makes it easy to fold. Just a note here, I have filmed a reel showing the correct way to do this so make sure you check it out to help you if needed @pinkfreshstudio Using some white cardstock, I attached the beautiful Artistic Dahlia Washi Tape, which I die cut twice so I had extra for the tag. Both sentiments are from the Artistic Dahlia Stamp Set. I stamped these in Pinkfresh Studio's Detail Black Hybrid Ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. I love the crispness and the raised aspect to the sentiment when I do this. To finish, I added some Blush Glitter Drops which, by the way, are a perfect match to the Artistic Dahlia Washi Tape, and some gold ribbon. Make sure you check out my reel over on Instagram @pinkfreshstudio to see this set all come together. I hope I have inspired you to go interactive my friends, its fun and its different. Until next time...

  • Mother's Day Gatefold Card

Hi Pinkfresh Studio friends! Mother's Day will soon be here so I thought you would appreciate some card inspiration for the special 'mom' in your life. I have been planning this gatefold design for a wee while now as I kept thinking how great the Jeff Alpha Die Set would look spelling 'Mom' down the centre. To create the gatefold design, I started with a piece of white cardstock 11" x 4 1/4" Then, I scored 2 3/4" in at each end. I cut the Floral Lace Die out twice in white cardstock. Then, I cut one of them in half. Perfect dimensions for the front and the back. I glued these Floral Lace die cuts to each outside panel. This formed the base for my card. I knew I wanted to put something inside the card as it's quite a large empty space so, I die cut some of the beautiful Artistic Magnolia Washi Tape from the Pinkfresh Studio's March release. I glued a Magnolia bouquet inside, adding that cute bow from the brand new Wrap Around Elements released this month! I also cut out two of the trims in the Elements set for a centre band for the card. You will see all the elements are in champagne gold. I chose this because it has gold in the Artistic Magnolia Washi Tape. Of course, I then die cut MOM from the Jeff Alpha Die Set in the same champagne gold but then matted them on white cardstock. I half attached the letters to the left side of the front panel, if that makes sense? That way, they would overlap when closed. I finished my card with some added washi to each side panel. I did not add any bling, because to be honest, there is a lot of texture with this card therefore, I left it 'as is'. Well friends, I hope this has given you some inspiration for your Mother's Day cards. You will be able to find a reel over on on Instagram @pinkfreshstudio that demonstrates how my design came together. Until next time....

  • Delightful Gift Tags

Hi Pinkfresh Studio friends! I am on the blog today sharing a gift tag project. These tags really showcase the beautiful ink colors by Pinkfresh Studio and, the recent releases of the Wrap Around Elements Die Set and the Birthday Banners: Celebrate. I love this colour combo of Peach Fuzz, Coral Reef and Warm Buff. It looks so soft and pretty but also reminds me of Neapolitan ice cream! Actually, do you have Neapolitan ice cream in North America? To begin, I die cut six circle tags for the front and back from the Classic Tags Die Set. I masked off the top third of each tag so I could ink blend these lovely colours. Following this, I left the masking tape on so I could give them a good splatter with gold. Using an element from the Classic Tags Die Set, I die cut each tag over the ink blending. The wonderful new release Wrap Around Elements Die Set was perfect to use as it includes the best bow ever! I glued the wrap and a bow between the white space and the colours. With the Basic Banners: Celebrate, I heat embossed the stamp set and then die cut them around the sentiment but, also in vellum. This just added that extra detail which I like. On the back, I attached the second die cut tag to cover the wrap around and give the white look showing the ink blending. Of course, these would not be complete without a bit of bling so I added my favourite Champagne Glitter Drops, and the gold tie for the top, yay! There will be a reel on Instagram @pinkfreshstudio to accompany this post so keep an eye out for it. Until next time friends

  • Birthday Happiness

Good morning Pinkfresh Studio friends, Today I am sharing a card that I have called Birthday Happiness because it has such bold and happy colours that just pop! Did you see this gorgeous Pretty Blossoms Stamp from this month's release? It has co-ordinating hot foil plate and stencils that are perfect to set these florals up in any colour combinations you choose. I decided on bold, which is not always my default as I like pretty and soft but sometimes you just have to move out of your comfort zone. For my design, I decided on Apricot, Persimmon, Olive and Evergreen. The Pretty Blossoms Layering Stencils easily line up to make the ink blending process really easy. Make sure you check out my reel as it demonstrates the ink blending come to life! One of the things I love about Pinkfresh Studio is their attention to detail. The co-ordinating Pretty Blossoms Die cuts so much details around the florals which is fabulous. Of course, I just had to pop the florals up on foam dots. Do you see the extra accents? Well, I die cut the one of the Rosettes dies and an element from the Wrap Around Elements Die Set in gold cardstock to match the hot foil. To finish, I dotted some glorious Butterscotch Glitter Drops which coordinated perfectly and added a sentiment from the Foiled Sentiments 6. Keep an eye out on Instagram for my reel demonstrating how this card came together. Until next time friends...

  • Wedding Wishes

Hi Pinkfresh Studio friends I am over on the Pinkfresh Studio Card Blog today sharing this beauty Weddings start popping up now spring and summer are upon us so, I thought you would appreciate some wedding card inspiration. I have called this design Wedding Wishes. Have you seen our Gazebo Die? Well, the outline of the die reminds me of a church or a mosque. Therefore, I thought I could make myself a die cut stencil from the outline. Using the outline, I ink blending all the Pinkfresh Studio greys to form the shape using the stencil, Misty Coast, Rocky Slope and Metropolis. This became the centrepiece of my card. Reviewing all the beautiful florals that Pinkfresh Studio do so well, I was spoiled for choice on which floral stamps to use. In the end, I opted for Artistic Dahlias illustrated by Emily Midgett from March's release. I like the curved shape which is really what I was looking for. With the Artistic Dahlia Co-ordinating Stencils, I added the colours Ballet Slipper, Sparkling Rose, Fresh Pear and Olive using the oh so pretty Pinkfresh Studio Blending Brushes! After placing the die cut florals on an angle, I then place a curved banner from the Basic Banner-Celebrate set that was released in April. Then, time for the bling. The top of the gazebo looked a bit bare and just called out 'give me bling!" The Blush Glitter Drops were perfect! To finish, I pulled out my faithful Small Butterflies by Pinkfresh Studio that were release some time ago and I stamped and heat embossed them with white embossing powder on vellum. Add some Silver Metallic Pearls on them and this card was finished. Well, I did add some white gel pen accents because I just couldn't help myself! As always, I have made a reel for this blog post so keep an eye out for it on Instagram @pinkfreshstudio I hope you feel inspired to make your own wedding day card now? Until next time PFS friends....

  • Hello Love

Hello crafty friends, I am over on the Pinkfresh Studio card blog today sharing this beauty. For my card design I wanted to do a blending technique but wanted to demonstrate that you can ink blending any colours you wish, and stamp over the top to get amazing results! I chose a soft palette for my base colours using Pinkfresh Studio's Peach Fuzz, Coral Reef and Aquamarine. It really is just a case of randomly having a piece of quality cover white cardstock and then blend randomly between the colours chosen. If it looks a bit patchy, do not worry as the Pinkfresh Studio ink settles into the cardstock and smooths out. When you have finished ink blending, make sure all the ink is dry. For this to look really effective behind a stamp you want to choose a stamp that has some detail to it. For my card I chose the beautiful Floral Border that was released in December 2022. It has larger and smaller flowers which would bring out all the different colour tones behind it. When the ink blending is fully dry, I used Pinkfresh Studio's Detail Black Ink and clear embossing powder to stamp on top of the blended cardstock. Then, heat dried it. When done, I used the co-ordinating die to cut it out. It looked fabulous even if I do say so myself! I decided on bringing out the Coral Reef colour for my background and die cut some co-ordinating cardstock using the ever faithful, Sparkling Diamonds Stand Alone Cut. That wonderful long sentiment is from the Charming Floral Border Stamp set which I heat embossed on some of the left over ink blended cardstock. To finish, I added the cute die cut Hello and some Pinkfresh Studio Iridescent Drops. I did try some of the coloured glitter drops, but they just didn't seems to work. In these cases I find the Iridescent Drops are perfect! As always with my blog posts, I have a reel that will get shared over on the Pinkfresh Studio Instagram account, so keep and eye out for that. Until next time friends....
