  • Alex Syberia Designs | Confetti Hello

Hi ASD friends! I have a fun square card design to share with you today. The brand new Confetti Stencil Set is a big hit and I can see why! I loved watching the layer of colour come together when designing my card. The HELLO in the middle is rainbow hot foil and from the new For Her Hot Foil Plate. What I liked about this was the green/blue hues. These prompted me for my colour choices for the Confetti Stencil Set. Primarily, the focus would be the sentiment and I liked the idea of the confetti spiral around it. The Paradise Birds Stamp Set is irresistible so, adding that cutie with a cocktail really added that fun element to the design. I was very brave and decided to die cut a circle after ink blending....gulp! But look how it turned out. Great dimension and really does make the centre pop. To finish I added some coordinating bling which I personally thought was very clever of me, hahaha. I think it really did compliment the card design and finish this card off nicely. I hope I have inspired you today friends. You could re-create this card in any colour combo and add any element you wish, so why not give it a try? Until next time...

  • Delightful Gift Tags

Hi Pinkfresh Studio friends! I am on the blog today sharing a gift tag project. These tags really showcase the beautiful ink colors by Pinkfresh Studio and, the recent releases of the Wrap Around Elements Die Set and the Birthday Banners: Celebrate. I love this colour combo of Peach Fuzz, Coral Reef and Warm Buff. It looks so soft and pretty but also reminds me of Neapolitan ice cream! Actually, do you have Neapolitan ice cream in North America? To begin, I die cut six circle tags for the front and back from the Classic Tags Die Set. I masked off the top third of each tag so I could ink blend these lovely colours. Following this, I left the masking tape on so I could give them a good splatter with gold. Using an element from the Classic Tags Die Set, I die cut each tag over the ink blending. The wonderful new release Wrap Around Elements Die Set was perfect to use as it includes the best bow ever! I glued the wrap and a bow between the white space and the colours. With the Basic Banners: Celebrate, I heat embossed the stamp set and then die cut them around the sentiment but, also in vellum. This just added that extra detail which I like. On the back, I attached the second die cut tag to cover the wrap around and give the white look showing the ink blending. Of course, these would not be complete without a bit of bling so I added my favourite Champagne Glitter Drops, and the gold tie for the top, yay! There will be a reel on Instagram @pinkfreshstudio to accompany this post so keep an eye out for it. Until next time friends

  • Mother's Day Gatefold Card

Hi Pinkfresh Studio friends! Mother's Day will soon be here so I thought you would appreciate some card inspiration for the special 'mom' in your life. I have been planning this gatefold design for a wee while now as I kept thinking how great the Jeff Alpha Die Set would look spelling 'Mom' down the centre. To create the gatefold design, I started with a piece of white cardstock 11" x 4 1/4" Then, I scored 2 3/4" in at each end. I cut the Floral Lace Die out twice in white cardstock. Then, I cut one of them in half. Perfect dimensions for the front and the back. I glued these Floral Lace die cuts to each outside panel. This formed the base for my card. I knew I wanted to put something inside the card as it's quite a large empty space so, I die cut some of the beautiful Artistic Magnolia Washi Tape from the Pinkfresh Studio's March release. I glued a Magnolia bouquet inside, adding that cute bow from the brand new Wrap Around Elements released this month! I also cut out two of the trims in the Elements set for a centre band for the card. You will see all the elements are in champagne gold. I chose this because it has gold in the Artistic Magnolia Washi Tape. Of course, I then die cut MOM from the Jeff Alpha Die Set in the same champagne gold but then matted them on white cardstock. I half attached the letters to the left side of the front panel, if that makes sense? That way, they would overlap when closed. I finished my card with some added washi to each side panel. I did not add any bling, because to be honest, there is a lot of texture with this card therefore, I left it 'as is'. Well friends, I hope this has given you some inspiration for your Mother's Day cards. You will be able to find a reel over on on Instagram @pinkfreshstudio that demonstrates how my design came together. Until next time....

  • Alex Syberia Designs | With Love on Your Special Day

Hello crafty friends! Today I am up on the Alex Syberia Designs blog sharing this beautiful soft floral card using the stunning stamp set by Alex Syberia Designs called Spring Garden. This stamp, die and stencil set was released in February. This very pretty stamp set has a great versatility to it. You can keep the whole image as a centre point or, you can cut it to make different designs for your cards and scrapbooking layouts. One thing I have learned while designing is that you can make any image any colour you like. You will see by my design, I decided on grey toned leaves. I find it artistically liberating going against the norm at times. Using the Spring Garden Coordinating Stencils, I concentrated colour around the base and my guess where the shadowed areas might be. When finished stencilling, I decided to pull out the Floral Lattice Stencil and used the lightest pink to form a backdrop. Then, I splattered some silver paint to compliment the leaves and the heat embossing. As this is a large stamp, I decided to cut it and position the flowers around the front panel over the ink blended background. Because I love dimension, I popped the florals on dimensional foam squares. For the sentiment, which is part of the Spring Garden Stamp Set, I heat embossed black ink and clear embossing powder. I do this quite often with my designs because I like the crisp, bold effect that it gives me. Don't you think this would make a perfect wedding card? Well, I hope you feel inspired my friends. I'm pretty thrilled how this one came together! Until next time friends...

  • A2 Slider Card & Matching Tag

Good morning Pinkfresh Studio friends I am over on the Pinkfresh Studio blog today sharing these beauties. Last month, Pinkfresh Studio released their first ever interactive die the A2 Slider Die. It was also a phenomenal release with so many beautiful washi tapes. Today, on the PFS blog I am sharing an A2 slider card using the die along with the beautiful Artistic Dahlias Washi Tape. I am so impressed by the beauty, quality AND value for money the Pinkfresh Studio Washi tapes can be. They make creating a project such breeze. To confess, I don't make many interactive cards, but having a die that does most of the work me is wonderful and pretty it's nice to make something different. There are three pieces to the A2 Slider Die. One piece being the insert that slides in and out. This insert can also be cut twice to make a coordinating tag...cool eh? (eh! is a common phrase used in Canada which I have picked up since living here). I kept the sharp crisp edges of the die as is. But, I had this idea that you could use a corner chomper to make the corners rounded? Just a thought... There are some dotted lines when die cut that makes it easy to fold. Just a note here, I have filmed a reel showing the correct way to do this so make sure you check it out to help you if needed @pinkfreshstudio Using some white cardstock, I attached the beautiful Artistic Dahlia Washi Tape, which I die cut twice so I had extra for the tag. Both sentiments are from the Artistic Dahlia Stamp Set. I stamped these in Pinkfresh Studio's Detail Black Hybrid Ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. I love the crispness and the raised aspect to the sentiment when I do this. To finish, I added some Blush Glitter Drops which, by the way, are a perfect match to the Artistic Dahlia Washi Tape, and some gold ribbon. Make sure you check out my reel over on Instagram @pinkfreshstudio to see this set all come together. I hope I have inspired you to go interactive my friends, its fun and its different. Until next time...

  • Pinkfresh Studio March 2023 Washi, Stamp, Die, and Stencil Release

Hi Pinkfresh Studio friends! How exciting! Today Pinkfresh Studio is celebrating the the release of some stunning washi tapes as well as some stamps, dies & stencils. Myself , the design team and guests have a ton of inspiration for you in the hop, so why not follow along? Giveaways: We will be giving away the full release on the Pinkfresh blog & YouTube channel. We will be giving away a total of TEN $25 gift cards along the hop. As per usual with blog hops - the winners will be picked from the comments. We will pull the winners & post them on April 5th, 2023 on our GIVEAWAY PAGE. Please remember to check this page & claim your prize within 2 weeks. My Design-Tuberose Washi Tape/Stamp/Die Look at these colours in this Tuberose Washi tape!! Pink, red, lilac and purple hues altogether with gold accenting. Glorious! For my design I pictured a bunch of flowers as a centrepiece. Also, I wanted to bring out a primary colour, so I chose lilac/purple accents. Therefore, I die cut a back panel and and oval panel in coordinating lilac cardstock. Then, using Neenah Solar White 110 lb cardstock I die cut a doily edge from the Essentials-Classic Edgers Die Set also by Pinkfresh Studio. This looked really pretty against the lilac cardstock and gave the perfect background to the Tuberose washi. I tied some gold cord around the base of the flowers to accent the gold in the washi. By attaching the bouquet on an angle to the left of centre, enabled me to add the Feel Better Soon sentiment from the Tuberose Stamp Set to the right of the oval panel. I heat embossed the sentiment in gold. As I had attached the bouquet on dimensional, I was able to add a couple of extra Tuberose Washi flowers behind to add a little extra something. To finish, I added some of the Pinkfresh Studio Amethyst Glitter Drops. I am sure that if I was poorly, this card would certainly help lift my spirits! I hope you feel inspired and I also hope you will continue with the hop by following the designer links below. Make sure you show some love and leave a comment for your chance to win. Good luck!

  • Alex Syberia Designs | Have an Egg-cellent Easter

Hi crafty friends! Thank you for joining me today on the Alex Syberia Designs blog. Can you believe it is Easter in a few short weeks? I thought I would share an Easter card today that will hopefully inspire you to get crafty. This is a full sized slimline card and I haven't made one for a while. When I saw the little cute bunnies in the ASD Spring Bunnies Stamp Set that was released last month, I just imagined them jumping around in the air all happy. So really I needed to do a slimline card so I could fit all these cuties on. I began by ink blending a slimline panel with Distress Oxides. Speckled Egg for the sky and Cracked Pistachio for a green base. The cloud effect was from a stencil in my stash. When dried, I splattered the cloud background with white paint. On a piece of Neenah Solar White 110 lb cardstock, I stamped lots of images and coloured them with my Copic markers. This did not take long and they were very easy to colour. After cutting them out with the coordinating Spring Bunnies Die Set, I began to arrange them in a way that I had visioned. Have you seen that bunny and the strawberry balloon??? Argghhh, cute alert! To finish, I added the completed panel to a slimline card base and added some white gel pen highlights. I heat embossed the fab sentiment, which complemented the slimline design egg-stra perfectly (did you see what I did there?) I hope I have given you some inspiration for your Easter card making and I look forward to sharing with you again very soon. Take care

  • Pinkfresh Studio | Circle Florals Shaker Card

Hi Pinkfresh friends Thank you for joining me. I am over on the Pinkfresh Studio Blog today sharing this square shaker card. I haven't made a shaker card in a while but I stumbled across some ready made round plastic domes at my local Michael's store. They got my creative ideas flowing. Knowing that Pinkfresh Studio had released the Circle Florals and the Around the Shape Circles, I couldn't wait to get designing. To begin, I cute a panel of white card stock 5" x 5". Then, using the Nested Circles Die I cut in the centre of the panel the correct size for the plastic dome. This would then guide where I added the curved sentiment from the Around the Shape Circle set. I heat embossed the sentiment in gold. On another piece of white cardstock, I heat embossed the Circle Florals. Using the wonderful coordinating Circle Floral Layering Stencils I coloured the florals in Coral Reef and Fresh Pear as I was aiming for a soft delicate colour combo. In the centre behind the dome you will see a Coral Reef background. To achieve this, I ink blended a piece of cardstock from my stash with the Coral Reef, then splattered it in gold paint, to compliment the gold embossing powder. Bringing the elements together, I placed some of the Glacier Jewels in the centre of the ink blended cardstock. I added the dome over the top then, I placed the square die cut panel over the top of the dome. It fitted perfectly! The Circle Florals fitted nicely around the dome and the sentiment . Then, I attached the whole panel on a card base 10 1/2" x 5 1/4" , scored at 5 1/4". Finally, some Champagne Glitter Drops just finished the card off nicely. ** Make sure you check out my reel on this beauty over at @pinkfresstudio Instagram. So, are you gong to design a shaker card now? I hope so! If you do, make sure you tag @pinkfreshstudio so we can see it. Until next time friends....

  • Alex Syberia Designs | It's Your Birthday

Hi ASD friends! Have I got a cutie to share with you today! Oh goodness, when I saw the Giraffe-ic stamp and die set I must confess, I did a little squeal. Have you seen them? I recently made a shaker card using both giraffes which I will share on Instagram soon, but I wanted to share this design with you today. I had some wood effect paper in my stash, so I decided to use this as a backdrop for my scene. First though, I matted the paper onto 110LB cardstock and splattered it with white paint. I stamped the giraffe and the greenery on Copic friendly cardstock (I tend to use Neenah Solar White 110LB) and then coloured the images. Giraffe-YR12, YR24 & Y26. Greenery-YG11, YG67 & G21. The large greenery image, can also be used as a cloud image, which is pretty cool and versatile. I then pulled out the Birthday Wishes Stamp Set that was released in the Kickstarter campaign and heat embossed white sentiments onto black cardstock. The font co-ordinated and complimented the fun of the card perfectly. Using various heights in dimension, I bought the scene together. To finish, I added some orange hearts and gentle highlights with my white gel pen. I hope I have inspired you today my friends. It's not a difficult card sketch to replicate, so why not go give it a try? Remember to keep an eye out on my Instagram too for a Giraffe shaker card @cherylespiecreates Until next time....

  • Pinkfresh Studio | Happy For You

Hi Pinkfresh friends! I am over on the Pinkfresh Studio blog today sharing this card that was totally inspired by Jennifer McGuire! Jennifer demonstrated how to make a card using clear acetate sheets. I don't recall ever making a card this way. So, with some exciting new Pinkfresh Studio products from Februarys release, I went to work. Let's talk about the florals. Those beautiful flowers and foliage are from the new stamp set called Happy For You. This set comes with coordinating stencils but I decided to use my Copic markers instead. Copics used: V09, V12, V15, G43 and G85. To make the image pop, I first heat embossed it in Liquid Platinum. I thought the bold violets would look fantastic with this....and, I was right. After cutting and folding the acetate to an A2 size, I wanted to sit the flowers on a centrepiece. Of course, because it's acetate I remembered Jennifer pointing out that adhesive or glue would show on the reverse side. Therefore, I heat embossed two circles and die cut them out using the brand new Around the Shape-Circles. I then die cut an extra two circles that would cover the circle on the revise slides. Hopefully that makes sense? I heat embossed one of the fantastic bold sentiments from the Happy For You stamp set and placed it on the right just overlapping the leaves on the left side. Guess what else was released in February?....Ombre Glitter Drops! For my card, the Magic Potion were absolutely perfect! I was soooooo happy about that. Luckily, I created a reel for this card design. It was pretty difficult to photograph to really appreciate how pretty this card turned out. So keep an eye out on the Pinkfresh Studio Instagram because you will get a really good look at the completed design on the video. I don't think this will be the last card I make out of acetate and, I hope my card inspires you to also give it a try. Until next time friends
