My Design-Medallion Border For my card I used the Medallion Border Press Plate with a Porcelain A2 cotton card panel. I used the Medallion Border Press Plate at the top and the bottom of the panel to frame a sentiment from the brand new Favourite Things Sentiments Press Plate. This basic layout then needed a flash of colour and so I used some lilac and pink markers to the pattern. Following this I then added some lilac ink splatter just lightly across the bottome right and the top left. At this point, this could have been left and it would be an easy one layer card and good for mailing without bulk. But, I cannot do that so out came the Silver Metallic Pearls. I just couldnt help myself! I wish you could touch and feel my card, as I dont think photos can pick up the amount of detailed impression there is. I have been playing with all the new Press Plates by Pinkfresh Studio and so I have some inspiration coming up that I will share over on my Instagram @cherylespiecreates, so keep an eye out for that! Well, I hope you like my card and I have helped inspire you to get crafting. For some further inspiration and your chance to win, click on each designers link below ....good luck!!

My Design- Farm Fresh I absolutely adore this little milk churn stamp and die from the brand new Farm Fresh Set. What really makes me smile, is the wonderful fonted sentiments in the stamp set that you can stamp on the milk churn...Eeeek! For this card I die cut the Farm Fresh Coordinating Die from champagne cards]tock and attached this to the back panel.. I then used the same die to cut out the from panel as I planned to make a shaker. On heat resistant acetate, I stamped one of the sentiments in detail black and heat set it with clear embossing powder. Inside the shaker I added some of the new and versatile Ice Clear Drops. After attaching the front shaker panel to the card base, I then pulled out the co-ordinating Farm Fresh Stencils and coloured them with some of the new inks Cherry Blossom, Begonia & Mulberry Blush. To finish, I added a beautiful gold foiled butterfly and Thanks sentiment. Also, I forgot to mention, that front panel is the Floral Backdrop Coverplate Die. • Gina K Designs | October 2023 Release

Hi crafting friends I'm not sure if you know but, I am a regular monthly guest designer for Gina K Designs! I was pretty thrilled when Gina asked me (obviously!) For this month's release I received the pretty Wishful Roses stamp set. This is a layering stamp set but some images could also be used for one stop stamping. My Designs - Wishful Roses My first card uses three full rose images from the stamp set. To achieve that bunched effect, I stamped one image, then masked it, then I repeated this again until all the roses were covered. That allowed me to work on the ink blended background. I uses Speckled Egg oxide ink for that, then splattered with gold and dark grey. After peeling off the masking, I coloured the images with my Copic Sketch markers. Reds: R17 & R29/Greens: G94 & G99/I shadowed the bunched roses with C5 As it was all pretty flat I added some dimension by die cutting Gina K's HUGS die three times and layering them up. Finally, I added some neutral bling and then some accents with my gold and white gel pens. My second card is quite different. I used the laying stamps in the set for this design. First I stamped the full background images in Bubblegum Pink. Then, when COMPLETELY dry, I heat embossed the next layered stamp in gold embossing powder. I cut the panel down and then matted it on an A2 panel of the Dots Poly Glaze that I had foiled in Champagne Gold. As there is b=no die for the big 'Wishing you' sentiment, I decided to heat emboss that in gold on a small panel which I then matted on the front of the card. The Happy Birthday sentiment is stamped with Gina K's Amalgam Black Ink. To finish, I added some neutral bling and some black dotted outlines around the rose images. So, there you go. One stamp set and two completely different card designs to inspire you for this months Gina K Designs October 2023 release. Until next time friends!

  • Gina K Designs | Everything Merry

Hi friends A couple of months back I was invited to be a regular monthly guest designer for Gina K Designs by Gina K herself! I think this was such an honour because Gina K is a legend in the world of cardmaking, in my opinion. She was the original on camera and certainly the lady that got me into cardmaking many moons ago. The stamp and die set I received from the September 2023 release was Everything Merry. I like to design a couple of cards do demonstrate options with a set and I think I achieved that with this months release. My first card has cool colour tones. I masked of an oval shape, then ink blended very lightly in Gina K's Slate ink. While it was still masked off I splattered with light blue paint. For the tree, I heat embossed this in white and then ink blended over the top in Gina K's Seas Glass. I popped the tree on foam after dies cutting it a couple of times to give good dimension. I finished with clusters of silver bling and a sentiment from the stamp set. My second design primarily used the plain triangle die which I die cut directly in the middle of an A2 heavy weight white cardstock panel. Before I did this though, I heat embossed the panel using one of the patterned stamps in the set with clear embossing powder. This always adds a bit of extra something and I love it! Then, I stamped and die cut some of the greenery from the set in alternating Gina K inks Jelly Bean and Fresh Asparagus. I added double sided sticky tape to the inside of the triangle and then I was able to add my greenery. To finish I added the sentiment and then red bling. I hope I have inspired you in your seasonal cardmaking ventures with these two contemporary Christmas cards?! Until next time friends....

My Designs When designing for the release I wanted to really show off the gradient of colours so, I pulled out the Rosettes Stencils & Rosettes Die Set. This set was released earlier this year though I hadn't really used it. Not sure how that happened! The Rosette Stencils allow the user to alternate between colours which proved helpful to showcase the inks. For my designs I used every single new ink pad! ** I want to mention, when I last checked, the Rosettes Stencils were showing as out of stock on the Pinkfresh Studio website. But, never fear, sign up for a notification email and you will get notified as soon as they are back in stock. In case you were wondering, the sentiments are form the Wonderful Sentiments Hot Foil Set that was released in January this year. Colour Close Ups ROSE GARDEN - Cherry Blossom, Peony, Begonia & Mulberry Bush CHASING SUNSETS - Sunkissed, Mimosa, Mango Sorbet & Fruit Punch WEEPING WILLOW - Limoncello, Citron, Bay Leaf & Spanish Moss GREEN GABLES - Sage, Eucalyptus, Spruce Tips & Lush Forest AMALFI COAST - Waterfall, Turquoise, Paradise & Atlantis NAPA VALLEY -Sheer Freesia, Wisteria, Hydrangea & Opulence There is another single ink pad that has also been released-Calico White Pigment Ink! Now, I know full ink pads are not everyones jam so I should let you know that the inks are also available in cubes too Yay! PLUS you can also get the re-inkers! But what will you store them in??? Well, Pinkfresh Studio have the perfect and BEAUTIFUL solution... These ink cube holders are a thing of beauty. They are soft and gorgeous and are pink with gold accents. My Design-Basic Banners Christmas | Stitched Christmas Star In my world, green, gold, red and glitz represent the Christmassy feeling for me. My card captures some of this. I enjoyed ink blending the new Stitched Christmas Star cover plate background in rich Pinkfresh Studio dye inks, Olive and Evergreen. I then gave it a good splatter with white. While that was drying, I heat embossed the Basic Banners Christmas in gold embossing powder. When you have this stamp set it is good to note that it is one big stamp with all those sentiments on. Make sure you have a large piece of white cardstock with plenty of room around it after stamping. You need that extra space for the die to have enough room to properly cut around of the stamp. We have a lovely stand alone die set called Curvy Leaves. I die cut some leaves in gold glitter cardstock then added them to accent the banners. I think details are everything when finishing up a design and you will find that with most of the cards I make. Here, I added some of the Pinkfresh Studio Iridescent Clear Drops on the banners to add my finished touch. I have made number of cards with this release which I will share with you. Hopefully my designs will give you some inspiration and feel free to copy my designs if it helps you. You will be able to find me over on Instagram @cherylespiecreates so why not pop over and follow me when you get a chance! My Design | Hibiscus Die | Splatters Hot Foil Plate Oh my, I really enjoyed designing this card! The Splatters Hot Foil Plate is a fab background which I used for different themed cards from this months release. I will share all my designs throughout the month of August over on my Instagram account @cherylespiecreates so make sure you follow and set up your notifications for regular inspiration from me. For this design I used Champagne hot foil as I knew it would go well with the green leaves. Then, I die cut all the pieces of the Hibiscus Die several times in quality white cardstock as I wasn't sure how many I would use. I ink blended the leaves in different shades of greens. And for the flowers, I ink blended pale orange and pinks. It took some time to arrange the florals, as sometimes that can be the hardest part. When I was happy with my arrangement, I then popped it all up on foam dots as I love dimension and texture with my designs. To finish, I added one of the many sentiment strips that Waffle Flower sell which are a fantastic add on! I hope I have inspired you and I hope you will join me again over on my Instagram @cherylespiecreates I'm sending big good luck vibes to you all as I really appreciate the time you take to comment and, love that you get a chance to win prizes! Good luck!

My Design-Fancy Floral Ephemera | Secret Garden Die | Shaker Tag Book Die I love ready made die cuts. Pinkfresh Studio do some amazing ready made sentiment sets and floral sets. This month they released this pretty Fancy Floral Ephemera and I couldn't resist creating with them. With ready made die cuts I enjoy just piecing them together. It reminds me of those paper dress up dolls that I got as a child. Not sure if you had them over here in North America? So, lets talk cover plate dies...look at this beauty...the Secret Garden Coverplate Die. Gosh, it's glorious! I couldn't resist die cutting this in Champagne gold cardstock as I thought it would make a lovely dimensional backdrop for the Fancy Floral Ephemera. Then using the tag from the newly released Shaker Tag Book Die, I cut up the Secret Garden Die into three pieces, sharing and gluing the cut between two tags and a card. To finish, I added that wonderfully fonted sentiment Grateful for you from the Thanks for Being There stamp set also released this month. Finally, the Champagne Glitter Drops helped bring this project together. Hopefully you are inspired and want to follow on with the Pinkfresh Studio blog hop for further inspiration and to win prizes. See the links below and go show some love and appreciation.... Until next time friends...

  • Gina K Designs | Delightful Dogwood

Hi crafty friends As a monthly guest designer for Gina K designs (which I am thrilled about!) I get sent a stamp and sometimes co-ordinating dies to play with ahead of the release. Unfortunately, I didn't receive Julys in time for the release but as soon as I did I designed these two beauties with the Delightful Dogwood Stamp Set. I did a bit of research for this one as I didn't know what colour Dogwood would be. If I did my research correctly, I believe that the pink is really the leaves that turn this colour? Im still trying to get my head around that! Haha. The pictures I found helped with inspiration for my colour choices. And yes, I researched the Cardinal too. In fact, I am impressed I remembered it is a Cardinal from my childhood days. I was and still are interested in nature and when I was a child I would make scrapbooks of birds, flowers and animals to escape the world around me. So, this colour choice depicts the female Cardinal. Are you impressed? The reason I chose the female colour choice was because it would coordinate with the pink Dogwood and the blue background better. The male is primarily red and that would not have worked so well, I don't think. For the colours I used Copic marker listed below: Dogwood: RV 10, RV 13, G21 & G94 Cardinal: !01, W02, W03, E30, E31 & R37 I hope you check out Gina K's July release, as usual there are a great mixture of stamp, dies and stencils to choose from. Until next time.....

  • Alex Syberia Designs | Falala Friends | A Farewell

Hi crafty friends I am participating in the Alex Syberia Designs New Release Hop and Giveaway over on Instagram today. We are celebrating the brand new "Christmas in July" collection from Alex Syberia Designs. This release is your perfect incentive to get started early on those holiday cards. With new hot foil plates, stamps, layering stencils, and dies there's sure to be something for everyone! So why not get yourself over @cherylespiecreates and hop along to see all the inspiration, and win prizes!! I am featuring Falala Friends. For my first card I used the masking technique whereby I stamp and fussy cut my images with masking paper to creates a scene. My second design was a bit straight forward whereby, I used the snow stencil to creates texture then stamped, coloured and cut my images. I wanted to share with you that this will be my last post for Alex Syberia Designs as one of their Creative Team members. Due to my clinical work commitments and already being on the Pinkfresh Studio team I was feeling too stretched. I do not like it when I feel this way as I don't want to let anyone down. Therefore, I decided to resign with Alex Syberia Designs at this time. Of course, I will be guest designing for them and other companies as I can fit this around my other commitments. Alex Syberia Designs may be a newer company but they are crushing it since their launch and I am thrilled I was an original team member that helped them in their journey. I wish them every success because they work hard, they have wonderful designs and every one of their team members are a delight. Big hugs ASD, I will miss you! Until next time friends....
