Pinkfresh Studio | Always A Reason To Celebrate

Hi Pinkfresh Studio friends!

I am so excited to be sharing my first blog post as a brand new Pinkfresh Studio design team member over on the Pinkfresh Studio blog! Whoop!

Today, I am sharing a bold card design with blue and white hues. I fell in love with two sets recently, the Detailed Leaf Hot Foil Plate from the December release AND the amazing Jeff Alpha from the November release.

To begin, I used sliver hot foil for the Detailed Leaf Hot Foil Plate. Silver goes so well with blue. Using a combination of Blue Jay and Stargazer dye inks, I proceeded to ink blend the foiled image using the coordinating Detailed Leaf Stencils. I repeated the foiling and stencilling twice to give me two sets of leaves to play with for my arrangement.

For that background I added some Slumber ink blending then splattered it with silver ink. Once dried, I die cut the panel with an all time favourite of mine from the Pinkfresh Studio Essentials range: Blanket Stitched Rectangles. It took a little time to arrange those leaves as I knew I would probably have to cut them in order to look right. For some reason, I find this very difficult! After the finished placement I popped up the leaves for dimension.

Using the Jeff Alpha, I die cut the word 'HI' from white cardstock. This helped the letters stand out from the blue. I then heat embossed a coordinating sentiment from the Detailed Leaf Stamp set in Detailed Black Hybrid Ink and clear embossing powder. To finish, I added some Silver Metallic Pearls.

Well friends, that's it for my first Pinkfresh Studio post.

I hope it 'leaves' you inspired!

Until next time.....
