Pinkfresh Studio | Holly Jolly Shaker Card
Hi crafty friends!
I am over on the Pinkfresh Studio blog today sharing a fun shaker card and I love that I can call it a Holly Jolly Shaker Card! Sometimes it's the little things in life that can bring joy don't you think?
This design was quite easy to make. I think the only part that could be a bit tricky could be the hot foiling on acetate. But more about that later.
First I foiled the brand new Sparkle & Sine Hot Foil Plate in my favourite Champagne Gold on white heavyweight cardstock which would be the backdrop then set that aside. I die cut the Terrarium Die in the centre of a white A2 panel that I also cut using the Essentials Diagonal Stitched Rectangles Die Set.
Using heat resistant acetate, I foiled the Holly Jolly Hot Plate with Champagne foil onto the acetate. This can be a bit tricky. I had to foil twice to get a nice look as my first one was a bit blotchy. It's so worth the effort though for the final effect.
I attached the Holly Jolly acetate panel to the Terrarium cut A2 panel with double sided sticky tape. Using foam strips, I layered up the sides of the Terrarium then added some bling. I used my embossing buddy to prime the inside of the acetate before I added my bling to help stop it sticking to the foam tape.
I added the Sparkle & Shine back panel and trimmed the edges so I could add it to an A2 card base.
Remember my last post? I had two spare hot foiled Winter Berries Hot Foil pieces from that project so I added those at the top with some red bling. The bow is from the Wrap Around Elements that was released earlier this year.
To finish, I die cut the Terrarium base in Champagne cardstock and then added a gold embossed sentiment just above it from the Basic Banner Christmas Stamp Set.
This project was really fun to make and as usual I made a reel for you all that you can check out over on Instagram @pinkfreshstudio and later on my account @cherylespiecreates
