  • Get Well Soon

Hi Pinkfresh Studio friends! Did you see that in February this year Pinkfresh Studio released the cutest little stamp set called Get Well Soon? The teapot, cup and saucer are so cute and with that little steam cloud! I just couldn't resist designing a card with it. You could colour the images in with your favourite mediums but I used a combination of colouring the images using the Get Well Soon coordinating stencils, and Copics. For the teapot and cup I used Sunkissed & Lemon Whip for the florals. And for the steam handle and saucer, I used Misty Coast and Rocky Slope. I then coloured in the rest of the white space with Copics R01 & R21. You will see that the Big Hello Die compliments the images. To achieve this I ink blended Sunkissed and Lemon Whip on some white cardstock then die cut the blended area. I really wanted some texture for my background. Therefore, I die cut the oldy but goody Hearts & Stars Coverplate Die. Aaaaand a frame from the newly released Notched Corner Frames Die. After I had attached the images where I wanted them with foam dots, I then stamped that wonderful sentiment also from the Get Well Soon and then, die cut it a couple of times to add dimension. Of course, I wanted some glitz and glamour to make it pretty so I used a combination of two Glitter Drops, Champagne and Leaf. Perfect!! As my usual I made a reel for you so, keep an eye out for it over on Instagram @pinkfreshstudio Hopefully you feel inspired friends...until next time

My Design - Fluttering Butterflies Washi Tape This beautiful Fluttering Butterflies Washi Tape has a few different coloured butterflies on it but for my design, I decided to focus on the bluish hues. To be fair, you could do pinks or lilacs too! Using the Shaker Hearts Die set from the Essentials range, I die cut the larger heart in the centre of an A2 card panel. To achieve the fab notched corners on that panel I used the outer part of the brand new Notched Corner Frame Die also from this release. I then added the Ocean Breeze Glitter Cardstock also by Pinkfresh Studio behind the die cut heart. . Also, for added interest, I added it behind the butterflies too. By arranging butterflies over a leafy branch to the left, I had a great area to add my sentiment, which is from the Fluttering Butterflies Stamp Set. To finish, Sky Blue Clear Drops matched perfectly! Well, I hope I have inspired you today friends, but I also hope I have got you in the mood to hop! • You Glow With Kindness

Hi Pinkfresh Studio friends! I feel like I am sharing a true labour of love with you today. This card design took me a few hours to bring together due to the amount of detail and dimension involved. The Pure Joy stamp set is up there as one of the prettiest stamp sets by Pinkfresh Studio. It's such an elegant design and I really wanted to take my time with it. I began heat embossing two of the main focal images in white. Then, using the Pure Joy coordinating stencils I blended a number of Pinkfresh Studio dye inks: Lemon Whip, Sage, Wisteria, Ballet Slipper, Eucalyptus and Rocky Slope. After die cutting the images, I layered them up as I knew I wanted them to pop up from that Lemon Whip background. Then, after die cutting the Dotted Chevron Coverplate I ink blended some Ballet Slipper and splattered it with gold. I then framed this with the Stitched Scallop Rectangles using foam strips. By offsetting the circle focal image it allowed me room to add another part of the image in the bottom right corner. All of these images were popped up for dimension. For the sentiment which is also from the Pure Joy stamp set, I heat embossed white on grey cardstock. Black cardstock just did not look right, too bold I think. To finish, it was time for bling. The very pretty Blush Glitter Drops helped tie in all the colours especially the background. Some little dashes of white gel pen, and voila! Make sure you keep an eye out for my reel over on Instagram @pinkfreshstudio and @cherylespiecreates Until next time friends...

  • Floral Kindness

Hi crafty friends! Today I have a pretty card that exudes colour and kindness. I think Pinkfresh Studio do sentiments so well. When I saw the Favourite Things Sentiments Press Plates released recently, along with some of the new floral die cut sets-I knew I wanted to pair them up. I have the privilege of having a number of very close friends who I have known for a very long time. Some live close, some live far away. Connection is everything. I sometimes send real flowers to those I care about, but sending a card doesn't die and fade away like flowers do. That reflection is what inspired my card for you today. Let's see how this card design came together. First, I die cut lots of Sweet Blossoms from white cardstock. Then, I laid them out on a grip mat and proceeded to ink blend using the fab Pinkfresh Studio Ink Blending Brushes. I used a mix of Ballet Slipper, Mulberry Blush and Berrylicious for the flowers. For the leaves I used a mix of Sage, Eucalyptus, Evergreen and Lush Forest. For the centres I ink blended in Marigold and added some black dots. Do you see a bit of sparkle going on too? Well, I also die cut Sweet Blossoms from Pinkfresh Studio's Champagne Glitter Cardstock. For that bold background, I used strips of masking tape and then just ink blended around it with Sage and Begonia....love it!! I added some gold splatters too just to tie in the glitter cardstock. To bring this card together I die cut the ribbon strips from the Wrap Around Elements in gold cardstock. Taking my time, I arranged the florals and popped them up with foam dots. To finish, I add that wonderful Kindness press plate sentiment. I think this card would be appreciated just as much as a bouquet of flowers, don't you? Don't forget to check out the reel for this beauty over on Instagram @pinkfreshstudio and @cherylespiecreates Until next time friends...happy crafting!

My Design- Cherry Blossoms and Stippled Plaid Press Plate How pretty are these beautiful Cherry Blossoms? So delicate and perfect. I just couldn't resist die cutting them after I had ink blended them in Cherry Blossom ink by Pinkfresh Studio. For the leaves I used Fresh Pear and Eucalyptus. When I saw the Stippled Plaid Press Plate, I immediately thought of the Cherry Blossom climbing up a trellis. Therefore, I partially inked up the press plate and it left the fab imprint that fades towards the top. I finished by adding that wonderful sentiment from the brand new Happy Vibes Sentiments also from this months release. Well, I hope I have inspired you today friends, but I also hope I have got you in the mood to hop.... • Beautiful Butterflies

Hi crafty friends I have had my eye on these Butterflies by Pinkfresh Studio for soooooo long. I loved them so much I purchased the whole suite-Stamp set, die, stencils and hot foil! To me, the elegance and beauty of this set sums up everything Pinkfresh Studio. I decided to make a set of cards as I really wanted to show off some different colour combinations. I began by hot foiling three sets in champagne coloured foil. This is a safe colour for most combinations. Then, pulling out my Pinkfresh Studio Dye Inks I blended the foiled images using the coordinating Butterflies Stencils. Part of the wings overlap so, I wanted inks that would blend well and make another colour effectively. 1. Ink Colours: Slumber/Sapphire/Passion Fruit/Berrylicious 2. Ink Colours: Summer Shower/Storm/Sunkissed/Marigold 3. Ink Colours: Ocean Breeze/Mermaid Cove/Limoncello/Bay Leaf I die cut each large butterfly out then, die cut part of the butterfly from an A2 white cardstock panel. With foam tape, I attached each butterfly over the panel and card base, ensuring the left wing hung over the edge. This really helped it pop and give a suspended look. Like a butterfly in flight so to speak. To finish I added a reversed hot foil sentiment from the Wonderful Sentiments Hot Foil set also by Pinkfresh Studio. I added some Metallic Silver Pearls to two cards but Aqua Glitter Drops on my centre card as I couldn't resist how well they matched! Hope you love these cards as much as I do?! Of course, I made a reel that you can check out over on Instagram @pinkfreshstudio as its really shows off how these cards came together. You can also check my Instagram out for lots more inspiration and reels @cherylespiecreates Until next time friends....

  • DIY Interactive A2 Card

Hi crafty friends, Welcome back to my blog! Today, I am sharing a DIY interactive A2 Card that was totally inspired by Jennifer Maguire in one of her a recent live videos. Make sure you go over to see it on her You Tube channel. I loved the idea so much, that I contacted her to ask if I could use her idea to make a card. She said 'sure!'....Yay! There's a few different steps for this design and I filmed the process because that is the best way to see this card come together. The reel will be available on Instagram @pinkfreshstudio so keep an eye out for it. You begin by making your own interactive element which is basically a piece of quality cardstock cut 1 1/2" x 4" scored at 1", 2" and 3". Then you bend at the score marks. For this top folding card, I added some Pinkfresh Studio paper to the front. This just added some subtle interest. Using the Nested Circles Dies, I cut through the the front of the card approximately 2" from the top fold. I then attached the DIY interactive element with double sided sticky tape to the the card itself. After stamping that wonderful sentiment from the Around the Shape Circle Stamp Set, I cut out the circle with the coordinating die and attached this circle to the front panel attached to the element. I then cut out some gorgeous elements from the Artistic Magnolia Washi Tape. These are sooooo pretty. I attached a number of these flowers around my card, inside and out! To finish, I added some Gold Pearls to highlight the gold in the washi tape. Pink and gold always looks to good together, don't you think? Such an interesting design. I liked that when you opened the card, it still has a bunch of flowers inside the card itself. Remember to look for the reel on Instagram @ Pinkfresh Studio because it will help to see it, especially if you want to try this yourself. Also, if you want to find so much more inspiration why not come and follow me on Instagram too @cherylespiecreates Well, that's all from me today friends. Until next time...

  • Pinkfresh Studio January 2024 Stamp, Die, Stencil, and Hot Foil Release

Hi Pinkfresh Studio friends! Today, Pinkfresh Studio is celebrating the first new release of 2024! This release is packed full of Stamps, Dies, Stencils and Hot Foil Plates. The design team and guests have a ton of inspiration for you! To celebrate with us, why not join in the hop for your chance to win? Giveaways: Pinkfresh Studio will be giving away the full release on the Pinkfresh blog & YouTube channel. Pinkfresh Studio will also be giving away a total of TEN $25 gift cards along the hop. As per usual with blog hops - the winners will be picked from the comments. Pinkfresh Studio will pull the winners & post them on February 5th, 2024 on their GIVEAWAY PAGE. Remember to check that page & claim your prize within 2 weeks. My Design-Wildflower Bouquet I decided to share the card that shows off the beautiful Wildflower Bouquet Stamp/Die/Stencil set. This set has such delicate images and die cuts with the most adorable little 'buckle' which I used to add to my ribbon. The colour combo is primarily Bay Leaf, Sage and Paradise and I used the coordinating stencils to ink blend after I had heat embossed the main images. As added detail, I die cut some extra foliage from the new Champagne Glitter cardstock that Pinkfresh Studio recently released. The ribbon is also Champagne cardstock. Sometimes, the background can be a bit bland so just to add some interest I die cut a panel with the Sparkling Diamonds Cover Plate. And, if that wasn't enough...I also die cut one of the Blanket Stitched Ovals. The pretty little sentiment just finished this card off perfectly. Well, I hope I have inspired you today friends, but I also hope I have got you in the mood to hop! • Valentine's Slider Card

Hi crafty friends! I thought you would appreciate some Valentine's Day card inspiration.  Therefore, I pulled out the versatile A2 Slider Die by Pinkfresh Studio that was released last year and paired it with the Dreamy Florals Hot Foil Plate. With the A2 Slider Die you could pair it with any stamp set which is definitely a bonus and I find this interactive die quite easy to put together. I pictured a floral design popping up but I wanted to add some colour and some texture. The back part of the die I cut in light pink cardstock. For the front part of the die, I first die cut a white panel with the Sparkling Diamonds Cover Plate beforehand. This added some wonderful texture. I kept the white pull out panel smooth. Using the Around the Shape-Circles Stamp and Die set I cut and stamped that fab sentiment. Meanwhile, using the Dreamy Florals Stencil Set I ink blended Sage and Spruce Tips for the leaves and Cherry Blossom and Begonia for the petals. Soooooo pretty! I also added that little sentiment as an extra reveal when the recipient pulls up the slider. To finish, at the top of the slider pull, I added some gold ribbon. This helped tie in the hot foil to the florals. With the two extra Dreamy Florals you will see I placed one on the front panel, and one on the slider. Do you feel inspired? Do you feel you could give this a try? Let me know in the comments below. Also, check out my reel over on Instagram @pinkfreshstudio as it may help you by watching how the die cut pieces come together. You can see all my reels over on my own Instagram @cherylespiecreates so why not come say hi?! Until next time friends...

  • Ornate Floral Monograms

Happy New Year Pinkfresh Studio friends!!! I'm back for another term with Pinkfresh Studio. I could not be more pleased to continue with their creative team...I feel honoured to continue my card design journey with them. My first post for 2024 shares a fun way to use the Floral Square, Floral Round and the Floral Octagon Press Plates all through the year! These press plates were released last month in December. When I saw the Kaitlin Alpha previously released with that amazing font, I knew I wanted to design some monogram cards with these press plate products. Let's look at how these cards came together. First, I used the BetterPress LetterPress System that is now available in the Pinkfresh Studio store along with each Floral Press Plate. I used the PFS Detailed Black Ink for the Press Plates as it as I knew I was going to colour the images with my Copic markers. The cardstock is the Porcelain White A2 card panels (regular weight), also available in the store. I then used the press plates co-ordinating dies to die cut each framed image after colouring them. I attached each Floral Frame Die Cut onto a panel from the Ornate Banner Die Set leaving room below for the sentiment. Did you see the brand new Glitter Cardstock that Pinkfresh Studio also released last month? Wow, it's amazing! It die cut the Kaitlin Alpha beautifully. For my designs I die cut letters in Sliver, Champagne, Rose Gold and Midnight Navy (which is stunning!) as I thought it would be so lovely to send a card with the monogram of the recipients name. For each of my cards, I decided to add a bannered sentiment so, I pulled out the Basic Banners Celebrate Stamp Set. After die cutting each sentiment with the coordinating die, I then added some of the same Glitter Cardstock that I used for the monogram. This helped tie the colors together. Eeeeek! I love them ALL!! So easy to make but really adds a personal touch for the recipient. Koudos to Pinkfresh Studio for their amazing products that can coordinate seamlessly. As my usual, I have made a reel showing how these beauties came together. Make sure you keep an eye out over on Instagram @pinkfreshstudio to see it. Well, that's it from me for today. See you next time!
